I used the Holyland Virtual Tour CD-ROM in Junior Church today. We had previously studied the life of Moses, and spent a lot of time studying the tabernacle. So when I saw your tabernacle section, I had to start there with my children.

We visited many of the sites, and the children just loved it! We couldn't listen to all of the audio files for lack of time. I'd start some, and then I would have to turn it off so that we could visit another site. It was a great hit! There were many times when the children would try to tell me which item to click on.

I purchased the Holyland Virtual Tour with some skepticism. There is something mystical about this land where God and man have met over the ages and to attempt to capture its essence is a challenge requiring great insight and skill. In truth, any such “tour” is guided by the vision and talent of its creator since no CD tour can explore the depth and breath of a land that is both a geographical location and an enigma to all that have ever reached her borders or gone there in their heart. I have just scratched the surface of this wonderful product and in doing so I have been transported to a land I will one day go.

Would I recommend it? You bet! I purchased the Holyland Virtual Tour just as I am recommending you do. What’s in it for me? The desire to share a treasure in a world where, more often than not, we are sold trinkets when we expect gold. Buy all the guide books and videos you want (they serve a purpose) but if you want to experience the land where prophets and kings walked, where a people was called by God to inhabit a land then, short of getting on a plane and traveling to Israel, you could not do better than to experience Israel through the Holyland Virtual Tour.
